What you need to know about a photographer working in the EU
and why it matters for your wedding
You are planning a wedding in Europe: Italy, France, Portugal, Germany, Spain, or Greece. You choose a photographer from the US, Australia, or another country. Everything seems perfect: the portfolio is stunning, reviews are top-notch, and the style is exactly right. Then you discover: the photographer cannot legally work in the EU.
This is not uncommon. It is a problem that can derail your wedding, and real brides talk about it on forums.

About me
I work in Europe as photographer on a fully legal basis, with a talent visa and the right to freelance across the EU. My second photographers have all the necessary permits, too.
This means:
- No risks with police or venues
- I am already in Europe, so I can arrive one or two days early for a pre-shoot or to check the location
- Cheap EU flights for 50-100 Euros between countries. Ability even to drive in case of emergency or airplane strikes (which are nor uncommon, expeccially in France)
- You get peace of mind instead of unexpected legal headaches
The right to work in the EU is not bureaucracy you can ignore. It is your guarantee of a stress-free day and a properly joyful wedding photography coverage of your important day.
